Featured Game February 10, 2025

In Tiny Towns you are the mayor of a tiny town in the forest in which the smaller creatures of the woods have created a civilization hidden away from predators. This new land is small and the resources are scarce, so you take what you can get and never say no to building materials. Cleverly plan and construct a thriving town, and don’t let it fill up with wasted resources! Whoever builds the most prosperous tiny town wins!

Your town is represented by a 4×4 grid on which you will place resource cubes in specific layouts to construct buildings. Each building scores victory points (VPs) in a unique way. When no player can place any more resources or construct any buildings, the game ends, and any squares without a building are worth -1 VP. The player with the most VP wins!

Featured Game for February 3

This week’s featured game is Fort, a light-weight 2-4 player card game about building forts and following friends. This means no waiting around for your turn as you have an opportunity to take actions on other players’ turns also!

In Fort, players are kids tying to grow your circle of friends, collect pizza and toys, and build the coolest fort. You also have the opportunity to make up rules that only apply to you, and get special perks to help you along the way.

By doing this cool stuff, you’ll score victory points, and at the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins! Your cards not only let you take actions on your own turn, but also let you follow the other players’ actions on their turns. Will you devote yourself to your own posse, or copy what the other kids are doing?

But be careful as your carefully constructed deck might start losing cards if you don’t actually use them. After all, if you don’t play with your friends, why should they hang out with you anymore?
