A player selects a category card and players then take turns giving a single word answer that fits within the topic.. They press down the key that corresponds to the first letter of that word and restarts the timer. The next player must then think of a word for the topic that starts with a different letter, and press down that starting letter before time runs out and they are eliminated from the round.
