After a full month of match-ups and community voting, March Board Game Madness wrapped up with a clear winner. Dominion from Rio Grande Games rose to the top with its endless replayability, powerful card combos, and pure strategic depth. The deck-builder that started it all was an early favorite, and we’ve featured it recently at Goose Games. But we feel a winning game with about a million variations in set ups and combos deserves an encore.
In 2nd Place was Gnome Hollow, a cozy but competitive standout . This beautiful game of gnomes, mushroom rings, and wildflower collection by local game designer Ammon Anderson, charmed its way through the brackets in a tight contest.
Rounding out our Final Four were Tiny Towns, a tight, thinky puzzle where every placement matters and one mistake can ripple through your whole village. And Space Base – A fan-favorite for its explosive turns and the thrill of building an engine that works even when it’s not your turn.
We’ll be back at 2 Row Brewing and featuring Dominion on 4/27 and we’ll also have Gnome Hollow, Tiny Towns, and Space Base available to play so you can experience the best of the bracket for yourself. Come see what made these games stand out and get them to the table!
